For the dog in my lap and the one at my feet,
For the sunrise I was able to witness this morn,
And the love for my husband that is daily reborn.
I'm thankful for the good food that I like to eat,
Some of it salty and much of it sweet.
I'm thankful for the time to spend with my Lord,
Praising His name and reading His Word.
I'm thankful for the privilege to work from my home,
For not having to go out and in this cold weather roam.
I'm thankful for all the things that create ease in my life,
And that I have the honor of being a "mommy" and wife.
I thankful to be thankful for all I've been given,
To know I'm a child of God with sins all forgiven,
To be given the chance to lift my voice up in praise
And to honor my God for the rest of my days.
